Where are our concerts?

As announced on this mailing list I have recently set up the Brass Band
Concert Diary at www.dalgetybay.freeserve.co.uk

However, in 11 days I have only received submissions from 9 bands. This
seems to suggest four things;

1. There are very few Brass Band Concerts in the world - not likely

2. Brass Bands do not want a way to promote themselves for FREE

3. The Internet is not a way to be noticed - in which case why do we come on
here and get e-mails?

4. We aren't interested. If this is the case why should our audiences be
interested?

I must reiterate that this list is not for profit. My own band runs its own
concerts and is trying to use every available avenue to promote ourselves. I
am giving every band in the world a chance to promote themselves to a
potential audience of millions with minimal effort. All I ask is that you
place a prominent link from your web-site to the Concert Diary (preferably
on your home-page).

If there are reasons why you do not wish to use this service please mail me
privately on richard.dyson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Nigel, I hope this conforms to the activities of the list - I am promoting
my site but also trying to improve the lot of Brass Bands from top to
bottom.
