According to this week's British Bandsman...yes....there was a comment in
the article when BB asked if the recent court case by Rhos Silver against
the NCC had affected the NCCs decision and Peter Morris said "Any
litigation which involves the rules being challanged must be borne in mind".

There was no comment from Redbridge , but the Desford and Kibworth bands
appeared to be a combination of oversight and illness missing the closing
date of 3rd July (Desford apparently left a telephone message on the
closing date when they posted their acceptance).

Glossop Old for Desford
Aveley & Newham for Redbridge
Nottingham City Transport for Kibworth

Looks like the NCC are strictly interpreting the rules in case of any problems.
