Enough of all this talk about bands being disqualified from the Nationals.
Here is your chance to listen to one of the bands that will be there for
nothing.

Whitburn Band are launching their new CD called 'Victory' at the Edinburgh
Fringe Festival Concert on August 12th. The concert will include much of the
music played on the CD including;

Peterloo Overture - This is the piece that won Best New Arrangement at
Spennymoor a few years ago.

Finale from Swan Lake - another superb Andy Duncan arrangement of the
Tchaicowsky Ballet.

Cry of the Celts - all five movements of this fantastic transcription
featuring additional voice and fiddle parts.

Tubby The Tuba - Not only does Andy Duncan make some amazing arrangements,
he is also a great player. He is heard on the CD as soloist in this new
re-working of the famous musical tale. Andy will also be one of the guest
soloists at the concert along with the famous Halle Brass.
