thats a great ideal which i support but the truth of the matter for my band 
at least is that they rely on the paying public to come through the door    
therefore if you dont play what they want to hear then they dont come simple

i would love to put on a "serious" concert but there would be a smaller 
audiene than usual  that is not to say that i dont include a mixture of music 
(including "quality" items and some popular items)
