Not actually true Larry. The rep plays some solo bits, unison bits with flugal or sop and doubles the solo cornets so is not at all comparable to SA 1st cornet. I have not found any need for it except to make some player think it is an important part. Much more useful if you could convince many brass players that all parts are important, just that some are harder than others. Dave. --
