Familiarity comes with age.

Are people saying that they can't remember the the main sloppy themes from
recent test pieces like "Isaiah 40" and "On Alderly Edge"?
Peter G's always particularly good at getting his main themes recognised,
because he arranges them as solo works (wink wink).

I think that might be a bit "favourite times" memories clouding the issue.
