It looks like I'm not the only one to cite Floyd as an excuse!

It happened to me whilst over at our head office in Monroe, North
Carolina. Floyd was due to hit on Thursday morning and I was due to fly
back to Manchester via New York the Thursday afternoon to make a
practice on Friday evening prior to a concert on Saturday. My flight on
Thursday to NY was cancelled due to Floyd and I had to ring our
secretary up from NC to apologise that I was going to miss rehearsal.

It's not an excuse I think I'll be able to repeat. That damned wind
missed going over the top of us by about 150 miles - too close for
comfort :-)
