My all time fave is John Gollands 'Sounds'.  Bo, I have to disagree that
Spectrum is rubbish, in my honest opinion it's a VERY descriptive piece of
music. The sheer power of the closing section (purple), which Vinter used as
the colour to represent his then poor state of health, is particularly
intense.

Other fave's include Philip Wilby's 'New Jerusalem' and 'Lowry Sketchbook'.
Also Sparke's 'Year of the Dragon'.

I really dislike Vaughn Williams 'Variations for Brass', 'Montage' and
'Kenilworth'.
