...and while we're talking about marches (well some of us were) I came across a demo recording made by the now-defunct Jones and Crossland Band for the now-defunct Kestrel record label who produced a couple of excellent recordings in the 1980's. The J&C tape starts with a very distinctive march which I haven't heard before and I wondered if there are any former J&C players on the list who might be able to enlighten me. Any ideas? The bass solo seems to occupy the first half of the first strain, if that makes sense... Just to jog memories the recording also includes Teddy Bear's Picnic, I know Why and So Do You, That's a Plenty, The Keel Row and other stuff which suggests the influence of S Roberts. But the march really stood out from the ordinary and I'd like to get hold of a copy... The not quite defunct David --
