I've just delved into my collection of low-fidelity tapes to find my recording of this piece - Leyland conducted by Dick Evans - to refresh my memory. It's still as good as I remember it - especially the rollicking scherzetto at the end. Great stuff. Whatever happened to Philip Lane? Alec --
