Actually Doug, one of the more interesting jobs of a conductor is conducting
pieces when you have no idea of what the notes are  supposed to be. Given the
time frame the chords are likely very straight forward so you can probably do
fine without the scores. Years ago I used to say that I could conduct anything in
the SA repertoire from a first trom part - why not use the bass bone part?
