My band has just about raised enough funds to apply for a UK Lottery Grant.

I understand that it is much harder to obtaining funding now than it was say
2-3 years ago - we are going for instruments.

Would anyone on the list who has been successful recently please contact me
?  I`m trying to find out why recent applications have failed and what we
could do to ensure a good chance of funding.

We are also wondering whether to `go it alone` or to ask a specialist who
has been successful with gaining funding for other bands.

Any opinions ?
