Our band instruments are owned by the trustees on behalf of the band and our
constitution contains a paragraph which stipulates that if the band ceases
to exist then its assets must be passed to a charitable organisation with
similar aims. When a band  in a nearby town folded some years ago the
trustees kept the instruments and made them available to young people of the
town who wished to learn to play.
