One of the main things we learned when we did our recordings was to make sure people removed jewellry, wore T shirts or pull overs withour buttons, no pens in pockets etc. Apparently the noise of the clicking of buttons on instruments from cloths or clicking of rings or necklaces from jewellry does a great job of messing up a fine recording.
