What is being used in the > big bands? etc Most players tend to play on Schilke sops (with berillium bells), but it is worth trying the new model Kanstul (supplied by Phil Parkers in London). I tried one recently and the only 2 differences I found were that it is cheaper than a Schilke and is not as comfortable to hold as a Schilke. Apart from that it is as good. Be warned that if you buy a new Schilke or the new Kanstul sop, you don't get a case (or mouthpiece). Thet both fit Besson cases though. Martin. sop - B&R --
