What is being used in the > big bands? etc Personally speaking, I prefer the Sterling Sop. It's a cracking little instrument and I can maintain intonation right up the register. However, Dave Sheedy, who succeeded me on Sop at Blackley, plays their brand new Yamaha (correct me if I'm wrong Dave) - and well too! I can't even hold the thing. It's too narrow and gave me cramp in my hands even when I tried to hold it for one verse of a hymn. Give me my rusty Sterling anyday! Back to lurking. Pam --
