Sorry Dave, but it wasn't Flossy at all - It was Floella (my lovely 
vintage Benge). Flossy (the slapper of the band) is  tucked 
away in the instrument store safe in the knowledge that her dodgy 
intonation ensures that she never sees the light of day.  
Also, don't forget that Andy Nichols's cornet had a lucky escape at 
the same time - one written off case, a slightly wonky bell and a 3rd 
valve slide which can't be removed (his excuse for not cleaning it). 
Perhaps it was a little foolish of me to keep a flugel in a gig bag.
