I played in a contest this year with a former band and although we all felt 
we played quite well we were in fact placed last much to everyone's 
disappointment. What made things even worse was that the adjudicators 
comments made no criticism of the band - only saying how 'nice' things were.
If you're not told what's going wrong - how are you supposed to be able to 
do something about it?????
