On the point of asthma, one of my good friends has very bad asthma, and has
had it all her life. She plays horn in a band, and believes that it has
improved her chest (sic) loads. My brother also has asthma, but by the age
at which it started with him I was playing wind instruments - recorder,
clarinet and then flugel and trumpet, so I believe it has prevented it
manifesting for me!
