UK National Contest

It's now some 2 weeks since the announcement that the NCC Contract to run
the Nationals was being terminated - I'm somewhat surprised not to have seen
any discussion here!

So, what do people think about it? Do they care?
Who is likely to emerge as the new managers? BFBB? a private promoter?

And what will be the fate of the regional competitions - these are
autonomous and are not directly influenced by this change. Could we see them
continuing to provide bands to the National Contest or is it possible we
could see a new contest emerge, one that's not governed by the current
owners rules (which have caused the odd problem or two! & remembering that
the current management were bound by those rules)?

Plenty of scope with this one I would have thought!
