A cornet/trumpet/flugel player in our band who is hoping to go on to colledge
recently purchased a Soverign flugel. After playing it for a few days, and
getting his parents ( a flugel and a cornet player) to try it, he was convinced
that the instrument was basically out of tune with itself (i.e. "it" would not
play the C scale in tune). When he contacted the supplier (Sorry I can't
remember who) he was told that this was "normal" for a Soverign!

Needless to say he is now in the process of changing the instrument.
