Can anyone help?

I have a trombone-playing friend who is emigrating to Tasmania in
March/April next year.  I'm not sure whereabouts.  Can anyone give me a
list of bands, or people he can contact nearer the time (when he knows
exactly where he will be) who might be able to help him find a band to
play with??
