A good Welsh friend of mine, Mike Ballantyne, is seeking information about
the Cwmbran band in which he played during the 60's. It was conducted then
by a gentleman called Cyril Evans (who was from London apparently).

Mike came to Australia in 1968 and would like specifically to get details of
the four or so contests that the band competed in at Kensington Town Hall
somewhere between 1960 - 1968. Stuff like the name of the test pieces, who
won the grade etc.  He said they were in B grade at the time and came about
sixth in one of the contests.

Is there anyone out there who might be able to help, or point us somewhere
for more info.  Email me privately if you prefer.
