In the cold light of day, I have to admit that yes indeed the strength in depth of a quality band comes from the horn section, 2nd baritone, 2nd / 3rd cornets 2nd trombone etc, however, the tenor horn is still a girls instrument and any bloke caught playing one should be given a bunch of flowers, a pair of tights and a handbag and paraded around the bandroom whilst all the real men sing "Oi fairey, get a real instrument - not one from fisher price. Come on lets go down the pub for a pint and then a game of rugby". I hope our solo horn player doesn't read this mind or I'm in for a right kicking !!! Rob. --
