Re: converting from baritone horn to tenor horn

Sorry Vicki but I have to disagree. Surely talent comes into it???

I am now nearly twenty seven years old and have played the tenor horn since I
was five and a half (apart from a couple of months when I changed to repiano
cornet in order to get to the sop player who's now my husband, but that's
another story!!)

I don't think there is any need for bitching in brass bands. In my book if
you've got the talent then you deserve the seat so to speak (hence why I'm
Solo horn player) Also found that being very modest comes in handy - tehe!!

No matter what section you are in there is always an element of bitching goes
on, not just in bands that contain females I hasten to add. I'm sure the lads
are just as bad as the girls sometimes aren't they??

Has anyone got any tales to tell of bitching in brass bands in days gone by?
I'm just curious that's all.

Merry Christmas and a happy new millennium to all on the list!
