Calm down, sir! (or madam).

I think the original starting point was the dodgy parts we get from
publishers and therefore we have to (gasp) photocopy them.

Yes, it's fun rewriting. (well, sometimes)  Yes I do it when I have to.
Many other percussionists don't have the time to do it (real jobs and all,
not like my flexitime), or the talent.

If publishers improved the parts we got in the first place, then we would
have more free time (down the pub?) rather than having the spend it writing
parts out.

Merry Christmas to anyone who likes percussionists! :-) (or "Happy Holidays"
in a non-deity specific kind of way.)
