Kinneil Colliery, of all bands, own a Marimba, courtesy of a lottery grant
and an insistent percussionist. We have since signed the percussionist but
she wasn't allowed to bring the marimba with her.

The last time a marimba was called for in an area contest (can't remember the
piece but it was fairly recent) SABBA decreed that xylophone was substituted
- musically naff but a relief to band treasurers everywhere.
