David The following is purely up to you and must be a matter of personal choice - all I'm doing is passing on the info. My father (an accomplished and well respected musician on Trombone and Alto sax) was an advocate of the use of urine to treat blistered or broken lips. Many years ago after a long gig in fairly adverse weather conditions I awoke the next morning to a nice set of blistered chops with a fairly important solo contest two days hence. I'd been told the remedy and being desperate for a cure thought here goes nothing. I was fairly young and was informed that piddling on the fingers and rubbing it on the lips was far more efficient than trying for accuracy while pissing vertically into the wind. Two days later - no blistered chops and the ability to play. Whether I still use the method is for me to know and the wife to find out. The choice is yours (but watch the wind).
