Re: Nerves

Judith,
Smile and then smile some more.
Look around the audience and smile again then just play.
If you can hear yourself play you are doing fine.
Smiling is really important because the audience is then on your side
and you can feel their support.
A person who smiles is a winner!
They want you to win so just give them your best, it's worked for me for
many years and I'm not great at anything.
But if you look like an old grump they will just be glad to have rid of
you even if you are good!
Wet mouth..... that's easy.... have a small glass of water before you go
on stage.
I have sang, played the penny whistle and the harmonica on stages for
years and I'm not very good technically but I can sure smile!
Stay away from the fancy remedies Judith as they just make you even more
aware of your apprehension.
Just give 'em the old ear to ear!
Let us know how you made out?
Cheers
BillW
