Yorkshire Building Society Band won the 1999 European Championships held in
Munich in April.  The test piece was Odyssey.

Odyssey was originally written by Kevin Norbury for the ISB when it toured
USA in 1998.  Kevin currently works for the SA in New York and is a member
of the New York Staff Band.

When Odyssey was chosen as the test piece, Kevin added a section and
slightly rescored some parts of the original in order to meet the demands of
a test piece in respect of difficulty and length of music.

Your most interesting comments though Roy are that you heard the music on a
local radio station in Australia!!  Oh what we would give in the UK for
brass music to be featured on a local radio station!!
