RE: Blister?

It is true that some people have allergies to gold mouthpieces however there
is such a thing call a mouthpiece virus. The only way it can be eliminated
is by applying zovirax ointment to the lips and sterilising the mouthpiece
by boiling it in water for 5 minutes daily for about 2 weeks. Each time the
mouthpiece is aplied to the lips the virus re-occurs unless sterilisation is
done daily. It can also be picked up from sharing instruments with another
user. The virus strain is a type of herpes virus which is difficult to get
rid of.
I hope this method works for you and stick to silverplated mouthpiecs in
good condition. If the plating is coming off get it repaired. I read this
article in the band world magazine a few years agoand this method has solved
some players problems.
Let me know how you go
