Interesting points.  Yes I agree that this happens a lot, I guess this is
the first time it bothers me since there were TWO adjudicators and it was a
set test piece.  Living with it is an option, and there's nothing that can
be done about it now so it's the only option.

But what if this contest was the Area?  You wouldn't want to take that on
the chin would you? When it's your bands name against a poor result, which
is undeserved?

Why should we live with it?  Surely it's time for a different approach to
contesting adjudication, one that forces adjudicators to justify each and
every bands position.  This would prevent the " top 3 + raffle " approach
that we seem to have to suffer at smaller contests (and entertainment
contests) in general - why?

I for one would support a fairer approach to contesting - even if it meant
that fluke wins didn't happen.  You don't feel proud when you've robbed
another band of their title.

Ah, well - one voice can't change the world...
