Funny you should say that Bill. I first realised I needed glasses, for reading, about 12 years ago when I went to help out a band at a marching job. When I went to play, cornet, with the march card in the lyre the music was all fuzzy, when I moved the music away so it was in focus I couldn't reach the mouthpiece!!! But being a Grandad, quick as a flash I removed the music from the lyre and held it just above the end of the bell all round the march. Don't cunfuse Grandad with Methusala!!! Grandad BillW PS. Grandad wanted to know how he could get an A3 sheet in his lyre. Just take the A3 sheet to a duplicating machine and have it reduced (the sheet) then buy a pair of those great jam jar type eyeglasses. Alteratively, you could staple it to your mates back. When I was a lad, Grandpappies knew everything! What happened to you Rod? Bill -- --
