I would also like to agree whole-heartedly with this sentiment.

I took the time to send rather a sizeable message to Bill directly, rather
than via the list,  as soon as I read of his problems, and would encourage
others who have something useful to add to do the same.

Your messages and help could be the difference between helping someone
through a very difficult time, or just ignoring their pleas for help causing
them to maybe even give up !

These subjects give us all a chance to give something positive back to each
other, rather than spending our time squabbling over relatively minor
points.
