I agree totally mike. Ive played Eb bass for about 3 years now and although
thats not a long time, ive come to realise that u cant really tune a bass by
slides , u have to use your ear. If u tune all the cornets then u can be
nearly 100% sure theylll play in tune again , but as for basses well, u can
play a different note each time u tune, if u dont have a good ear that is.
But i found it a lot easier to play in tune when the band are playing rather
than on your own.u can listen to those around u, and then ajust, but not by
slides simply by thinking the note in tune.
