Good Morning David,
Please don't leave the list.  I rarely respond to what I read, unless it touches
my heart, but as a forty "something" year old female from a family of musicians,
{my father was a band director in Western New York for 35 years and my brother
is a band director in Old Forge, NY} I can understand your opinion about the
sometimes selfish theme on the lists.  Look at it this way, stay on the list and
help us all to keep on track with the important aspects of playing; such as the
beauty it brings to the player and the listener, the gift it is to be able to
produce such wonderful music and the fellowship involved with the art of music.
We need people such as yourself to share your own life experiences with music
and where you think it will go in the future.  Leaving the list would be a loss
for all true musicians.
