Having qualified with First City Brass, you're damm right. We qualified, because the rest played . Are there any bands in the london and southern counties who are up to it. The committment is just not there, for whatever reason, as it is in the leading top bands up north. As for you, I didn't hear you, City of Oxford Who? You obviously played (although just as you didn't hear us, I hear you.) otherwise you would have qualified too! How many people attended the area? 10 people? Go up north and the support is huge. We're part of a dieing breed in the south. Richard Robinson First City Brass But not having heard you It was blatantly obvious to anybody that played in my band that we >should have qualified, both aveley and first city were in my opinion >(even though I didn't hear them) > >In my opinion the first three placing were and I played with the band >that was placed 4th. >the winner was the test piece. the standard of playing was poor!!!!! >The Winner was the test piece!!!! > The first 4 placing who played the piece was average. >The rest may of stayed at home. >If the south are going to compete against the rest of the country then the >standard is got to improve. at the moment we are just playing at it. > > >-- > >from this list, send a plain text mail to listserver@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >with --
