Well said Philip..........

as an ex-SA player myself I ALMOST let this one slip by due to the number of
other replies generated. But...

It's totally irational to think that SA bands are in any way different in
ability.  In fact a lot of them have a far greater focus and dedication than
I have seen in the contesting world.

To reply directly to the 'Onward Christian Soldiers'/'Year of the Dragon'
thing - I wonder did he ever hear the ISB play Isiah 40 (i.e. of National
Finals Test Piece fame)????
