Touched a raw nerve here, I think, Mr Green. >Phil Green said : "here, here (in support of the 4 letter expletive)- as an >IT manager Cybersquatters really get my goat" Steven Booth replied: > >Well my response to that is : (snip) >It's not exactly a criminal offence is it ? This business of buying up of domain names, only to offer them for resale at an inflated price, has a more conventional equivalent - ticket touting. And if a ticket tout deprived band enthusiasts of the chance to buy, say, tickets to a Black Dyke concert, only to offer them to the same deprived band enthusiasts at the concert hall door at an inflated price, I can't help feeling that the British Bandsman's postbag would be bulging! No, it isn't criminal. It isn't even a civil offence. But I think many people would consider it morally dubious. To quote a former British Prime Minister in a different context: it is the unacceptable face of capitalism. >From your friendly Devil's Advocate Alec PS This is much more interesting than mouthpieces or trombonists. --
