So to the aftermath,

What were everyone's opinions on the day in general, high points? Low
points?

I think a major low point was the riots in Uppermill. I didn't think they
had so many police in the countryside!!
Another low point (it has to be said) was the appalling quality of the (so
called) cooked food served at Dobcross, near the start of the march. (I
think Dobcross youth were trying to get rid of the competition by means of
salmonella poisoning!)

Looking to the results it seems that all the top bands had a good day,
Fodens, Brighouse, Faireys and YBS all taking a good share of the prize
money. It looks as though Fodens will take the Saddleworth overall winners
followed closely by B&R, (but I haven't seen any official results yet, not
enough time to check out any web pages)

P.S. How long have Brighouse had those purple marching jackets, very
nice!!!
P.P.S. I was quite impressed with IBB as well, I only saw them at Lydgate
though, still noticed a few solo cornet splits  : )
