I don't think that anyone of the current band would go to Dyke and I would like to think that Nick has enough respect for the band to not ask (which I believe is true) > Why are you taking this so lighthearted Phil? :-) I'm a light hearted kind of guy. As you can imagine I don't want to say too much - I'm sure Nick will give his reasons in due time but I CAN say that there has been no loss of friendship between the band and Nick. > Why doesnt Nick or somebody else give a clear message about the reasons > behind it all, now one may be producing nothing but false stories because of > dead silence, and it does not improve our image. Dyke are still seen as 'the band to be with' and therefore it's one of the top conducting jobs. It's a great challenge to turn the Dyke that exists now into the all conquering monster that they were when I wanted to play for them. I still have a signed programme with McCann and Cloughs signatures on - who in Dyke would you get to sign it now. Dyke are a great band but banding needs a greater Dyke. Nick wants to be the one to re-create that. Simple as that ! > Even the Foden's site is very very quiet. The new MD will be announced first on the website (unless I get home from rehearsal first !). -- njh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.normans.co.uk
