I think it inevitable that once James Watson  left that  a change round
would occur.

What band in the country doesn't have this happen  when a new conductor
takes over.
Styles change , players are asked for more commitment or feel that they
should be consulted on matters and when they are not feel left out .

 A new conductor needs to have  the wisdom of Solomon and
the  instant knowledge of all the idiosyncrasies of the band from the
minuet he takes over.

No surprises therefore that changes are occurring  at Dyke.
