1. The piece was Rodrigo's Adagio from the Concierto de Aranjeuz. (Orange
juice!)
2. Tara Fitzgerald did take lessons before the film with the other actors,
but could only play twinkle twinkle little star at the most! The fingerings
are correct though if you want to be really sad like myself and write the
piece out.
3. Grimethorpe Colliery band provided all the music for the film and were
established in 1917. In 1992 however, the pit was closed down and a board of
trustees was formed to help secure the bands future. In 1995, sponsorship was
found in RJB mining Plc. who were the saviour to provide secure funding for
the near future.
