It seems that the NCC can't please anyone. When Peter Graham wrote 'On
Alderley Edge' he got slated by bandsmen for writing smulchy nonsence. When
'whoever it is' wrote 'Abstractions' he get's slated for writing 'no tune' !
What about giving the lower section bands the chance to play stuff like
Contest Music, Year o.t. Dragon and the like at contests. They might not be
able to play all of it but they could still be judged and the players might
enjoy the challenge !
