Let me introduce myself, I play Tenor Horn with 4th Section Leigh Silver
Band.

We have a concert this Sunday and we've just been let down by 2 of our Solo
Cornet players, sometimes not a problem but we only have 3 and the one
remaining is only 9 years old.

Can anyone in the North West help us out on Sunday.  The job is at Mesnes
Park, Wigan town centre. 2pm till about 4.30pm with breaks during.  Our
programme is very easy, typical pieces include Aces High, Summer Night,
Misty, I've got Rhythym, Trumpet Tune and Air, a few arrangements by our
Conductor, usual Marches like Slaidburn and True and Trusty and some Hymns.

We desparately need 2 solo cornet players or we may have to cancel the
concert and this will be the first time in the bands history that we have
to.

If you can help us, I promise you'll be made to feel welcome, paid any
expenses and I'll personally buy you a couple of pints during the intervals.
