Not quite. The SA very intelligently writes for solo, 1st and 2nd cornets
only. Very occasionally there will be a divisi in the solo cornet part. Even
after all the discussion about the Rep, I'm still not convinced it is anything
more than an effort to convince a player who wants to be principal cornet that
he or she is equally important on rep. The stated reasons for its importance
seem far fetched. Can anyone listening actually tell that SA music has no Rep?
