We took our instruments for a weekend in Germany this August (as we have done every other year for a decade and a half.) Our insurance covered the instruments for no extra charge, provided we notified them in advance and in writing of when we were going, and they had all the serial numbers etc. Don't know who our insurance is with, but I can find out.
