RE: triple tonguing



In response to Maureen, ( Fodens ) who states that the "K" sound is the
weakest - I feel
( and teach ) that to get a good sound on all parts of the "roll" of triple
tonguing ( and double as well ) you need to have no "weak" part at all.
I always get my students to practice single tonguing with "K" until it is
indistinguishable from the "T" sound.
Then there is no "weak" part of the attack and it doesn't matter what
tonguing you use. ( try KKT KKT KKT or KTK KTK KTK etc...... ) After a while
your tongue feels about 3 inches thick.
