[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: Fodens at the Nationals
I thought I'd let someone else from the band post for a change but as there
are obviously no takers......
Bryan's contribution has been massive to the band. In the run up to the
Open we only managed about 4 rehearsals before Bram showed up. Yet in that
time Bryan had run the piece through with the band enough and worked the
tricky bits (playing wise and conducting) enough times so that there were no
technical difficulties left for Bram to solve. In the run up to the
Nationals, as we had more time to rehearse, Bryan had taken the piece apart
with the band meaning that Bram could really concentrate on the phrasing and
shaping of the piece.
Bryan is without doubt one of the very best if not THE best band trainer in
the business. Combined with the genius of Bram (if we can continue our
association with him) the band are 'happy as Larry' about the future.
Phil.
