(The piece is quoted quite extensively by Steadman-Allen in his book 'Colour and Texture in the Brass Band Score'). > - maybe even a tune! But not on the vibraphone this time (although The Undaunted must contain one of the earliest appearances of the vibraphone in the BB score...). And anyone in the dry part of North Yorkshire next week will be welcome at Harrogate Grammar School on Thursday when The Harrogate Band will team up with young musicians from the school to present a concert starting at 7.30pm. The band's contribution will include music by Philip Wilby, Wilfred Heaton and Philip Sparke. (Oh yes, and the piece I wrote for the Band's 30th anniversary, called 'Dragon Parade'; colours, nuances, textures etc.). Cheers David PS Colin - did you ever get the drink I left for you at the Mews last month? Martin said he'd hold on to it until you got down there... --
